Raiffeisen Bausparkasse founded in 1961 and part of the Raiffeisen Banking group is the market leader in housing finance in Austria; based in Vienna.
It provides mortgage loans and Bauspar loans (building society loans).
Refinancing is done via retails client deposits (Bauspar deposit) and a special form of "quasi covered" bonds (Wohnbaubank-Bonds).
Raiffeisen Bausparkasse has participations in Bausparen in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Croatia and Romania.
Total group asset exceeded € 10 billion on Dec. 31st, 2009.
